The American Morgan Horse Institute, Inc. (AMHI) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that works in support of the Morgan breed. It is the sister organization of the Amiercan Morgan Horse Association (AMHA). All contributions are tax-deductible.
Each year, the AMHI sponsors over $15,000 in scholarships and grants to Morgan youth and adults from across the country and funds a variety of national Morgan youth and educational programs. These scholarships benefit the Morgan community by supporting the dreams of people interested in Morgan Horses. The scholarships are made possible through the support of generous individuals, Morgan clubs, and horse shows.
The AMHI owns and maintains the home of the AMHA and the National Museum of the Morgan Horse in Shelburne, Vermont.
The AMHI maintains the National Museum of the Morgan Horse which collects, displays and makes available for study historical materials related to the Morgan breed.
The AMHI conducts the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show and the World Morgan Futurity.
